TIME LIMIT
The maximum race time is set at 3 hours and 30 minutes, to allow the gradual reopening
to traffic of the roads. Two gates will be set up:
– Km 10: for those who do not pass within 1 hour and 40 minutes;
– Km 15: for those who do not pass within 2 hours and 30 minutes.
All athletes (including Walkers) passing after these times will be asked by officials to stop.
STARTING GRIDS
At the start, you will be divided into three grids, which are associated with the three planned starting grids. Each grid corresponds to a colour (marked at the entrance to the grid) and specific bib numbers.
DURING THE RACE
It is absolutely forbidden for people without a bib number and/or on bicycles, or with skates or by any other means to occupy and/or pass through the starting area, the course and the finish line. Controllers will be present throughout the route and will turn away anyone without a bib number or passing by unauthorised means.
PACEMAKER
The organisation has provided the competitors with pacemakers (hares), which will run the RHM at a controlled pace so as to arrive at the finish line with a set time. These are the final times.

The times that the Pacemakers will follow are calculated in Real-Time i.e. from the moment they pass on the carpet under the starting arch. If you want to follow a Pacemaker, look for the stand set up in the Village, there you can meet ‘those to follow’ and ask them all the details about the course and the race. If you have not met the Pacemakers in the Village, you can still join them on race morning. You will recognise them by the uniform on which ‘pacer’ is written and by the coloured balloon with the finish time, which will make them visible from afar.
The pacemakers will meet on Viale di Porta Capena at 7.30 am.
TIMEKEEPING
The processing of the rankings will be taken care of by Evodata, using the chip that each athlete will find already attached to the bib and which MUST ABSOLUTELY NOT BE REMOVED until the end of the race.
The chip records the Real Time (which measures the time from the moment you pass the start line to the moment you pass the finish line). Only the Élite group will be classified with the ‘Official Time’ (i.e. the time measured from the start gunshot), all others will be classified according to ‘Real Time’. Real Time will also be taken into account for the awarding of exclusive adidas sports equipment and for the category awards.
MEDICAL SERVICE
