Race for solidarity

The Relay Marathon is the running format that allows the official race route to be divided into three fractions of approximately 7 km each. For its 1st edition, the relay race aims to involve the city in taking part in a true celebration of solidarity and the values of sport.

Charity Program

The Charity Program of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon is a solidarity fundraising programme that aims to involve non-profit organisations and runners running for them thanks to the support of Rete del Dono, the crowdfunding platform and personal fundraising partner of the event.

For our first edition, we want to make a difference by involving as many runners as possible. We want to inspire participants to run not only for the personal challenge, but also to support important causes and make a concrete contribution. Run for a cause, run for those in need, and together, let’s make this marathon an event of solidarity and hope.

The Relay Marathon, the relay marathon of the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon is totally solidarity-based: this means that in order to participate, each team will have to choose one of the projects of the non-profit organisations participating in the Charity Program and get active in fundraising.

You can limit yourselves to making a donation at the time of registration, but our invitation is to go a step further and combine a sporting challenge with a solidarity challenge, raising funds for your chosen cause.

Even marathon runners, although not required to register, can actively engage in the solidarity challenge of collecting.

Getting active is simple and immediate, just open a personal fundraising page on Rete del Dono, a fun and engaging online collection where you invite family and friends to support your cause.
